OPEN CALL | Parent Company Studio Residency

Application Deadline: Wednesday, May 20, 2026

This summer, Parent Company is excited to host the 3rd annual Studio Residency for artists whose work is based in installation and/or performance, with an emphasis on site-responsive practices. This opportunity gives one resident the chance to work in Parent Company's Basement space for an eight-week period. The residency will culminate in a final installation, an opening reception, or a performance. This allows artists whose work defies objecthood and conventional market-driven definitions to have more space to show and engage with audiences.

DATES:

Wednesday, July 1, 2026 - Saturday, August 22, 2026

Move out on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

RESIDENCY BENEFITS:

  • Workspace: Residents shall have free use and 24/7 access to Parent Company's space for the duration of the Residency. Residents are encouraged to invite fellow artists, curators, and arts professionals to the space while they are in residence. They are also able to host programming and events in collaboration with Parent Company staff.

  • Solo Installation and Open Studios Event: The residency will culminate in a final installation, which will be promoted by Parent Company. Parent Company will also provide professional documentation of the final installation.
