Parent Company is pleased to announce its second group exhibition entitled Two, featuring work by Nick Fusaro, Rachel Rosheger, and Chang Sujung.

The prompt for this exhibition asks each artist to select two works that appear to be totally different as if made by two different people. The works can be old or new; they can differ in materials or scale. The pieces could be tied by narrative or concept but their outward appearance must be completely dissimilar.

Two is meant to celebrate the productive schizophrenia of artists who work in multiple forms or mediums. The exhibition highlights an array of artmaking techniques where materials and process shift from project to project, bucking expectations around seriality and theme. Artists are often encouraged implicitly and explicitly to make their work recognizable, often in service of a brand identity. Two seeks to be a container for non-linear investigations and projects that, taken together, begin to resist authorship.

Nick Fusaro is an artist based in Brooklyn, NY. He received his MFA in Sculpture from Hunter College in 2022 and his BFA in Sculpture from Pratt Institute in 2012. His sculptural practice combines humble materials, collections, and iteration to emphasize the effects of memory on lived experience. Fusaro also studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 2011 and is the founder of Three Four Three Four, an artist-run gallery in New York.

Rachel Rosheger is a New York-based artist working across sculpture, drawing, and new media. Recent exhibitions include Microscope Gallery (New York, NY), Fragment Gallery (New York, NY), Harkawik (New York, NY), Subtitled (Brooklyn, NY), and As it Stands (Los Angeles, CA). Rachel Rosheger graduated with a BFA from The Cooper Union School of Art in 2017 and is a recipient of the 2018 Benjamin Menschel Fellowship.

Chang Sujung lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Chang was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the US in 2014. She received her MFA from Hunter College in 2017 and BFA from Ewha Womans University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2013. Her recent solo and two-person exhibitions include Detour: cul-de-sac, International Waters, New York (2022), 88.61 lbs, Hesse Flatow, New York (2020), and Beginningless sky, Endless ground, Jungganjijeom, Seoul (2019). Her work has been shown in several group exhibitions including International Objects, New York, Helena Anrather, New York, Yeh Art Gallery, St. Johns University, New York, The Richard and Dolly Maass Gallery, Purchase College, New York, Galerie Christine Mayer, Munich, Bertha and Karl Leubsdorf Gallery, New York, Ilmin Museum of Art, Seoul, and others. She has participated in residencies at Carving Studio and Sculpture Center, Vermont (2022), BRIClab: Bridge Space, New York (2021-2022), Hercules Art Studio Program, New York (2018-2021), the Wassaic Artist Residency, New York (2017) and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Maine (2017).
